It is the most affordable single-family neighborhood in Market Common. Homes have been selling around $364,000, roughly $40,000 below The Cottages on Farrow Parkway and close to $90,000 below Emmens Preserve, and the amenities include something no other neighborhood here has: indoor pickleball.

Homes For Sale in Meridian
Nothing is listed at this moment, but four homes are under contract, from $349,900 to $420,000, and each of the four went under contract within a week of listing. Fourteen sold over the last twelve months, from $310,000 to $438,000, averaging $364,278 or $213 a square foot.
Over three years the count is 79 sales, from $290,000 to $455,000 with an average of $371,966. That is the second-highest volume in Market Common behind Emmens Preserve, with 26 homes closing in 2023 alone as the last phases finished.
The wide spread is about size and phase. A 1,340 square foot three-bedroom and a 2,790 square foot five-bedroom are both Meridian homes, and the later build years command a premium. Sold prices have run about 2 percent under asking on average, though the last twelve months took 125 days on average to get there, so look at each home's own history rather than the neighborhood number.
Living in Meridian
Meridian sits just off Farrow Parkway, with the shops, restaurants, grocery stores, the movie theater and the bowling alley a golf cart ride away, and Myrtle Beach State Park and the beach a few minutes past that. A linear park with walking trails and a golf cart path runs through the neighborhood and connects it toward the village. Golf carts are allowed.
Indoor Pickleball
Covered courts, plus a pool and a hot tub, which no other Market Common neighborhood offers.
Built 2018 to 2024
Among the most recently built single-family homes in the district.
Lowest Entry Price
Homes have sold from $290,000, the least expensive detached home in Market Common.
Construction is a mix of vinyl siding and HardiPlank on slab foundations, with one and two-story plans and typically four parking spaces. Lots run about 5,600 to 9,100 square feet, with a handful larger, and some back to a pond or to woods. Meridian is zoned for Myrtle Beach Elementary, Myrtle Beach Middle and Myrtle Beach High School.
Meridian Amenities and HOA
The fee runs about $105 a month for most of the neighborhood, with some sections between $90 and $119, and it covers the pool, the recreation facilities and the common areas. Owners maintain their own lots. Golf carts and motorcycles are allowed and there are pet restrictions worth reading before you buy.
What the fee buys is a community pool with a hot tub, indoor pickleball, a clubhouse and the linear park with its walking trails and golf cart path. For a neighborhood at this price point, that is an unusually good package, and the indoor courts are genuinely rare on the coast.
Summit at Meridian is the newer D.R. Horton section next door, listed separately in the MLS. If you are shopping Meridian, look at both.

Why Buyers Choose Meridian
Meridian is where I take a buyer who wants a Market Common address and a newer house without the Market Common price. Everything the district is known for is a golf cart ride away, the homes are recent construction, and you are buying in the $300,000s rather than the $500,000s. For a first home, a second home, or anyone who would rather spend the difference on living here than on the house, it is the obvious starting point.
Be clear-eyed about the trade-offs. You are on the outer edge rather than in the village, the lots are modest, and these are production plans, so walk several before deciding which one suits you. Natural gas is only on about half the homes, so check the listing if that matters to you. And with nothing currently for sale and four homes under contract within a week each, plan on being ready to act rather than waiting to browse.
