The streets are short and tree-lined — Johnson Avenue, Iris Street, Hendrick Avenue and the Farrow Parkway edge — and the whole neighborhood sits east of Business 17, inside the Myrtle Beach city limits.

What sets The Battery apart from the rest of Market Common is the architecture and the walk. These are two-story and single-story homes with deep front porches, second-floor balconies, HardiPlank siding and detached garages, on small lots that put you within a few minutes' walk of the restaurants, the movie theater and the parks around the lakes.
