Barefoot Resort is built around four championship golf courses, designed by Greg Norman, Davis Love III, Tom Fazio and Pete Dye. All four opened on the same day in 2000 — something no other modern golf resort had attempted — and each plays as a distinctly different course.
Three of the four are open to the public. The Dye Club is private, reserved for members and for owners in Dye Estates — which is a meaningful part of what that neighborhood is worth. Two clubhouses serve the courses, with dining and pro shop facilities on site.
For many owners the golf is the reason they bought here. For others it is simply the setting — fairway and lake views from a home or condo without ever picking up a club.

Barefoot Resort Beach Cabana
One of the most valuable things about owning at Barefoot is beach access without owning oceanfront. The Barefoot Resort Beach Cabana sits at 4611 South Ocean Boulevard, just south of 46th Avenue, and is reserved for owners in the Barefoot Resort Residential Association.
The cabana offers a furnished sundeck overlooking the Atlantic, restrooms and showers, a refreshment area, and private gated parking — which in North Myrtle Beach in July is worth more than it sounds. A seasonal shuttle runs between the resort and the cabana, so owners can leave the car behind entirely.
Barefoot Resort Marina & Waterway
Barefoot Resort fronts the Intracoastal Waterway, and its full-service deep water marina gives owners somewhere to keep a boat, launch a kayak or rent a jet ski for the afternoon. Waterway-view condominiums at Yacht Club Villas, Edgewater and North Tower look directly over the marina and the water.
The marina is also home to one of the largest pools in the area — an ionized saltwater pool holding roughly 356,000 gallons, with a bar and grill alongside it.
Beyond the water, a five-mile walkway circles the resort and is used daily by walkers, runners and cyclists.
Barefoot Landing & North Myrtle Beach
Barefoot Resort sits directly across the waterway from Barefoot Landing, and it is genuinely one of the best things about living here. More than 100 shops and restaurants line the boardwalks around the lake, from fresh seafood and steakhouses to casual spots you can walk to for a drink.
What sets Barefoot Landing apart is the entertainment. Two concert venues sit right there — the House of Blues and the Alabama Theatre — bringing touring acts and live shows within a few minutes of your front door year round. Greg Norman's Australian Grille sits on the waterway alongside them.
The rest of North Myrtle Beach is minutes away, and Myrtle Beach proper is a short drive south. For buyers who want resort amenities without being isolated from everything else, the location is hard to beat.
