The Havens at Barefoot Resort
The Havens is a condominium community at 6203 Catalina Drive inside Barefoot Resort, North Myrtle Beach, built mainly in 2006 with a few buildings added in 2019 and 2020. It has the widest range of plans of any Barefoot condo community, from two-bedroom units around 1,000 square feet to three-bedroom, three and four-bath resort villas past 2,100.
The buildings have elevators, and a number of units have been sold with a transferable golf membership attached, which is worth checking on any listing here.
Widest Plan Range
Two-bedroom units to three-bedroom villas over 2,100 square feet.
Elevator Buildings
Built mostly in 2006, with newer buildings from 2019 and 2020.
Golf Memberships
Some units carry a transferable golf membership.
The Havens Prices and Sales
Thirteen are listed, from $233,000 to $459,900. Twenty sold over the last twelve months, from $194,999 to $489,900, averaging $306,985 or about $222 a square foot in 77 days. Over three years the count is 68 sales, from $194,999 to $489,900.
That range is really two markets. The two-bedroom units trade in the $200,000s alongside Ironwood and Willow Bend. The three-bedroom villas, particularly the 2019 and 2020 buildings and any unit with a membership attached, run from the high $300,000s toward $490,000. Sort by plan before you compare.
The Havens HOA
The fee runs from about $490 on the smaller plans to about $660 on the largest villas. Because it covers water, sewer, trash, internet, cable, building insurance, pest control and the grounds, it is close to an all-in figure and not comparable to a single-family HOA. Golf carts are allowed.
The Residents Club
The Residents Club is Barefoot Resort’s private amenity center for owners, with a pool, a fitness center and tennis courts, and a full-time activities director. Every Barefoot owner has access to it, and the association fee is what pays for it.
Golf, the Beach Cabana and the Marina
Barefoot Resort has four championship courses at the door: the Love, the Norman, the Fazio and the Dye. Owning here does not include golf. The Love, the Norman and the Fazio are public courses anyone can play, so an owner without a membership books a tee time and pays per round like any visitor. The Dye is semi-private and requires a Dye Club membership, which also covers the other three. A few listings carry a transferable golf membership, and that is worth real money.
Owners in the Barefoot Resort Residential Association have private access to an oceanfront beach cabana at 4611 South Ocean Boulevard, with a sundeck, restrooms, showers and gated parking, plus a seasonal shuttle. On the Intracoastal Waterway, the resort’s full-service marina sits beside a 15,000 square foot saltwater pool.
Why Buyers Choose The Havens
The Havens is the Barefoot condo community that covers the most ground. A buyer who wants an affordable two-bedroom and a buyer who wants a 2,100 square foot villa with a golf membership can both find it here, which no other community in the resort offers. The elevators and the 2019 and 2020 buildings make it a good fit for owners who want newer construction without a townhome’s stairs.
The thing to do carefully is the fee. It scales with the plan, from around $490 to $660, so run the monthly number on the unit you are actually considering. And if a listing mentions a golf membership, get the transfer terms in writing before you value it.
Barefoot Landing and North Myrtle Beach
Barefoot Landing sits across the Intracoastal Waterway from the resort: more than 100 shops and restaurants around the lake, with the House of Blues and the Alabama Theatre bringing live music and touring shows a few minutes from the front door.
The rest of North Myrtle Beach is minutes away, and Myrtle Beach is a short drive south.
