North Tower at Barefoot Resort
North Tower is the high-rise at Barefoot Resort, a condominium tower at 4801 Harbor Pointe Drive on the Intracoastal Waterway in North Myrtle Beach. Every condo has a balcony, and every balcony looks out over the 15,000 square foot pool and the marina to the waterway and Barefoot Landing beyond, and from high enough in the building the view takes in both the Intracoastal and the Atlantic Ocean beyond it. The condos are three- and four-bedroom plans between 1,801 and 1,850 square feet, the building has an elevator, and parking is gated and secure.
North Tower is also home to the waterfront pool that owners across Barefoot talk about. The North Tower pool, 15,000 square feet of saltwater on the Intracoastal Waterway beside the marina, is shared with residents of several other communities in the resort, including Arbor Trace, The Retreat and Edgewater, who have access to it as part of their own amenities. For a North Tower owner it is downstairs, and in view from the balcony, with the marina bar and grill steps away for a drink or dinner without moving the car. Beyond the building, ownership at Barefoot brings the private oceanfront beach cabana with its gated parking and seasonal shuttle to the beach, the deep water marina on the waterway, the five-mile walkway around the property, and four championship golf courses at the door.
North Tower Floor Plans and Prices
The three-bedroom, three-bath plan at 1,850 square feet is the plan most buyers look for, and the two that sold in the last year closed between $492,000 and $505,000. The four-bedroom, three-bath plan runs 1,801 to 1,825 square feet, so it trades a little living space for the fourth bedroom, which is the plan for a family or a golf group that wants everyone under one roof with the waterway out the window. Ashley can tell you what the four-bedroom has sold for and what is available.
In a tower, the floor is the price. The view from every condo is the waterway, but the higher the floor, the more of the Grand Strand comes into it, and high enough up the ocean appears beyond Barefoot Landing. A buyer choosing between a lower and a higher floor of the same plan is choosing between two views, and the recent sales show what the difference is worth. Short-term rentals are allowed, and the combination of a furnished three-bedroom, a waterway view and the beach cabana makes North Tower one of the resort's stronger rental buildings.
Ocean and Waterway Views
Every condo has a balcony over the pool, the marina and the Intracoastal Waterway; from the upper floors the view reaches the Atlantic beyond Barefoot Landing.
The North Tower Pool
The 15,000 square foot waterfront pool that other Barefoot communities share is at the foot of this building, beside the marina.
Over the Marina
The tower overlooks the resort marina on the Intracoastal Waterway, with the marina bar and grill steps away, Barefoot Landing across the water and the five-mile walkway below.
Gated Secure Parking
Parking at North Tower is gated and secure. Short-term rentals are allowed, and many condos sell furnished and turnkey.
Two Sales in a Year
North Tower does not turn over. Only two condos sold in the last year, and only three are listed now, so a buyer who wants a particular floor or the four-bedroom plan may wait a while for it and should not expect a choice of several when it comes. The owners who bought for the view tend to keep it. The practical step is the same one that works at The Retreat: send Ashley your plan, your floor and your price, and she will call you the day one comes to market, or before, when a seller mentions it first.
The HOA fee is $704 a month for either plan, which for a waterfront high-rise with an elevator, gated secure parking, a waterway pool and the resort behind it sits well below the fee at Edgewater. Ask Ashley for the current budget and what the fee covers so the comparison is made with this year's numbers. For the other condo and townhome communities inside the resort, start on the Barefoot Resort page; buyers who want the waterway from a house rather than a tower should see Intracoastal Waterway Homes for Sale in Myrtle Beach SC.

Frequently Asked Questions About North Tower
Where is North Tower?
North Tower is a high-rise condominium tower at 4801 Harbor Pointe Drive on the Intracoastal Waterway inside Barefoot Resort in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, overlooking the resort pool and marina, directly across the water from Barefoot Landing.
How much do North Tower condos cost?
The two three-bedroom condos that sold in the last year closed between $492,000 and $505,000. The HOA fee is $704 per month for either plan.
How big are North Tower condos?
The three-bedroom, three-bath plan is 1,850 square feet, and the four-bedroom, three-bath plan runs 1,801 to 1,825 square feet. Every condo has a balcony.
Can you see the ocean from North Tower?
From high enough in the building, yes. Every condo has a balcony facing the Intracoastal Waterway, and from the upper floors the view reaches past Barefoot Landing to the Atlantic Ocean, so the same plan on a higher floor sees both.
What is the North Tower pool?
The North Tower pool is the 15,000 square foot waterfront pool on the Intracoastal Waterway at the base of the building, beside the resort marina. Residents of several other Barefoot Resort communities, including Arbor Trace, The Retreat and Edgewater, have access to it as part of their amenities; for a North Tower owner it is downstairs, with the marina bar and grill steps away.
Does North Tower have an elevator?
Yes. North Tower is a high-rise served by an elevator, with gated secure parking for residents.
How often do North Tower condos come up for sale?
Rarely. Only two condos sold in the last year and only three are listed, so buyers who want a specific floor or the four-bedroom plan should be on Ashley's list before one lists rather than waiting to see it in search results.
Do North Tower owners get beach access?
Yes. Owners have private access to the Barefoot Resort oceanfront beach cabana at 4611 South Ocean Boulevard, with a sundeck, restrooms, showers and gated parking, and a seasonal shuttle runs between the resort and the beach.
What golf comes with a North Tower condo?
Barefoot Resort has four championship courses: the Love, the Norman and the Fazio are open to the public, and the Dye is semi-private. Owning at North Tower does not include golf. A Barefoot golf membership covers play on the courses; without one, an owner books a tee time and pays per round.
Are short-term rentals allowed at North Tower?
Yes. North Tower allows short-term rentals, and many condos sell furnished and turnkey. Confirm the current association rules before purchasing, since they can change.
