Bridle Ridge at Barefoot Resort
Bridle Ridge is a single-family neighborhood on Mossy Oaks Drive and Bridlewood Road inside Barefoot Resort, North Myrtle Beach. Most of it was built from 2002 to 2004, with a later group of homes added around 2009 to 2011, so the streets mix two building eras.
Plans are mostly three-bedroom, two-bath, and mostly one level: a ranch neighborhood in a resort that has plenty of two-story product elsewhere. Lots run from about 7,800 square feet up to nearly half an acre on the largest, which is generous for Barefoot.
Mostly One Level
Three-bedroom ranch plans dominate, with a few two-story homes.
Two Building Eras
2002 to 2004, then 2009 to 2011, so check the year on any home you compare.
Lots to Half an Acre
From about 7,800 square feet up to 19,600, larger than most of the resort.
Bridle Ridge Prices and Sales
Two homes are listed, at $475,000 and $535,000. Four sold over the last twelve months, from $437,500 to $635,000, averaging $523,938 or about $262 a square foot in 73 days. Over three years the count is 16 sales, from $425,000 to $655,000.
The spread is mostly size and era. The 2009 to 2011 homes tend to be the larger ones and carry the top of the range, while the original 2002 to 2004 ranches sit in the middle. Seventy-three days is quick for the resort, so well-priced homes here do not wait long.
Bridle Ridge HOA
The fee runs about $221 to $227 a month and covers the Residents Club, the common areas, trash, internet, cable and security. Some homes pay a little less depending on section. Owners maintain their own lots, and golf carts are allowed, which is how most people get to the club and the courses.
The Residents Club
The Residents Club is Barefoot Resort’s private amenity center for owners, with a pool, a fitness center and tennis courts, and a full-time activities director. Every Barefoot owner has access to it, and the association fee is what pays for it.
Golf, the Beach Cabana and the Marina
Barefoot Resort has four championship courses at the door: the Love, the Norman, the Fazio and the Dye. Owning here does not include golf. The Love, the Norman and the Fazio are public courses anyone can play, so an owner without a membership books a tee time and pays per round like any visitor. The Dye is semi-private and requires a Dye Club membership, which also covers the other three. A few listings carry a transferable golf membership, and that is worth real money.
Owners in the Barefoot Resort Residential Association have private access to an oceanfront beach cabana at 4611 South Ocean Boulevard, with a sundeck, restrooms, showers and gated parking, plus a seasonal shuttle. On the Intracoastal Waterway, the resort’s full-service marina sits beside a 15,000 square foot saltwater pool.
Why Buyers Choose Bridle Ridge
Bridle Ridge suits the buyer who wants a one-level home in Barefoot on a real lot, without the premium the gated neighborhoods carry. The ranches here are practical, the lots are bigger than the resort norm, and the fee is around $225 with the Residents Club included.
Two things to check. The two building eras produce different houses at similar prices, so compare the year and the square footage rather than the street. And Bridle Ridge is not gated; if a gate matters, Coquina Pointe, The Dye Estates, Leatherleaf and Oak Pointe are the four Barefoot neighborhoods that have one.
Barefoot Landing and North Myrtle Beach
Barefoot Landing sits across the Intracoastal Waterway from the resort: more than 100 shops and restaurants around the lake, with the House of Blues and the Alabama Theatre bringing live music and touring shows a few minutes from the front door.
The rest of North Myrtle Beach is minutes away, and Myrtle Beach is a short drive south.
