Grande Dunes Members Club
The neighborhood takes its name from the Grande Dunes Members Club, the golf club at the heart of the community, and most people who search for the Members Club in Myrtle Beach are looking for the club rather than the houses, so it is worth setting the two apart. The club is built around two 18-hole courses, both ranked among the top 50 in the world. The Members Course, which this neighborhood borders, is the private one: playing it requires a Members Club membership. The Resort Course, just over the bridge on the other side of Grande Dunes Boulevard, can be played without one. Each course has its own clubhouse, with a pub, dining area and locker rooms; the Members Club House on the Members Course side is the one the Members Club Cottages sit beside.
Golf membership is separate from ownership. Every Grande Dunes owner has the Ocean Club included, but buying a home in the Members Club neighborhood puts you beside the course, not on its membership roll: golf and tennis are additional memberships offered to owners, so ask Ashley what membership, if any, a particular listing carries and what the current terms are. Three neighborhoods take the club's name: this one, the Members Club Enclave and the Members Club Cottages, all on the Members Course side over the bridge.
Golf on One Side, Water on the Other
Many Grande Dunes neighborhoods make you choose. Bal Harbor is all waterway. Cadiz and Capri Village are built around the Resort Course. The Members Club is bordered by the Members Course on one side and the Intracoastal Waterway on the other, which is why it is treated as one of the most exclusive addresses in the community.
It also means three genuinely different products under one name: a home on the greens, a home on one of the course lakes, and a home with access to the ICW. Those do not price alike, and neither do the houses — 2,500 to over 6,000 square feet is the widest range anywhere in Grande Dunes. A home here can be two and a half times its neighbor.
The prices say the same thing. Homes here run from $1.1 million to $3.3 million — a three million dollar band inside one gate. Before any comparable sale means anything, establish two things: which of the three settings it sat in, and how big it was. A neighborhood-wide average across a 2,500 square foot lake home and a 6,000 square foot waterway home is not describing a real property.

The Tennis Club is a 6,000 square foot facility with 10 Har-Tru courts, 8 of them lighted, and a full pro shop.
