The Cape at Grande Dunes
The Cape at Grande Dunes is a community of single-family homes within Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach. Homes reflect South African beach design elements, built for luxury Southern living.
The neighborhood is 57 homesites, built out by Traditional Homebuilders, one of the area’s premier builders, and is now resales only. The Grande Dunes Ocean Club is included for all Grande Dunes owners, so private oceanfront access comes with the address.
The Cape also has its own onsite clubhouse and neighborhood pool, in addition to the Grande Dunes resort amenities. The Ocean Club is included with ownership; golf and tennis memberships are offered in addition.
It sits on the ocean side of the Intracoastal Waterway, between the waterway and the Ocean Club — the same stretch of Grande Dunes as Calais, Cipriana Park and Siena Park, and the side of the community that trades golf frontage for proximity to the beach.
57 Homesites
Built out and complete, so everything that comes available here is a resale.
Traditional Homebuilders
One of the area’s premier builders built the whole neighborhood.
Clubhouse and Pool
The neighborhood has its own onsite clubhouse and pool.
South African Design
An unusual reference point for this coast, which makes the streetscape distinct from anything else at Grande Dunes.
Ocean Club Membership
Included for all Grande Dunes owners. Private oceanfront access comes with the address.
Amenities and Memberships
Two layers of amenities are on offer here. The Cape has its own onsite clubhouse and neighborhood pool, which belong to the neighborhood. On top of that come the Grande Dunes resort amenities — the Ocean Club is included for all Grande Dunes owners, and golf and tennis are additional memberships offered to owners.
The Ocean Club brings private oceanfront access — an oceanfront clubhouse with multiple pools, private cabanas, locker rooms, dining with bar service and full beach services. The Members Club offers two 18-hole courses, both ranked among the top 50 in the world — the Resort Course, playable without a membership, and the Members Course, which requires one. The Grande Dunes Tennis and Fitness Club is a 6,000 square foot facility with 10 Har-Tru courts, 8 of them lighted, and a full pro shop. The Grande Dunes Marina is one of the best full-service boating facilities on the East coast, with boat slips and maintenance on site, and home to 357 Raw Coastal Bar, Myrtle Beach’s only restaurant on the Intracoastal Waterway.

Built Out, One Builder, Fixed Supply
The Cape is 57 homesites and finished, which shapes how you buy here. Nothing new is coming, so availability depends entirely on who decides to sell — and across 57 homes that can mean waiting for the right house rather than choosing among several.
The upside is that comps actually work. One builder across the whole neighborhood means the houses share construction, era and finish level, so what separates one sale from another is lot position, condition and how much has been updated — a short enough list that a buyer can check it.
Know what comes with the house and what does not. The Ocean Club is included for every Grande Dunes owner, so the beach is settled the day you close. Golf at the Members Course and the Tennis Club are additional memberships, and knowing what each costs before you commit to a house is the difference between an amenity you use and one you look at.
Not finding what you’re looking for? This could be due to low inventory.
